Hollywood Celebrity Inspired Makeup Look - Featuring Beauty Guru #2

Hello everyone..

I have tagged some of the beauty gurus that i know to do a tag on Hollywood Celebrity Inspired makeup in this post (click to view). So far, 2 bloggers have responded. Thank you for your participation. I'm having so much fun looking at other bloggers' take on different Hollywood Celebrity's makeup. Farra from Sugar, Spice and What Not did her take on Kim Kardashian makeup look (click to view).

The second look was inspired by Jeniffer Lopez, and Miss Syukur from Beauty Itch did a great job on achieving J.Lo's smokey eyes. I LOVE IT KAKAK! Thank you so much.. The look is wearable and great for functions or events..

Her favourite J.Lo's picture..

Let's look at what Kak Syukur from Beauty Itch came up with...

Gorgeous! I love how the eyes look brightened with the silver in the inner corner+lids and smokey with the black around the outer corner

I love the colour gradient and combo! Very basic but look sophisticated and clean with proper blending.

Kak Syukur said she was out of natural falsies when she did this look. But i still love it even without falsies...
I love falsies but i only wear them out on special occasions...

A gorgeous wife&mother to her hubby&beautiful children.. and she is a teacher too! wow!
Please visit her blog and have a look at her product reviews, FOTD and other beauty related stuff.. I LOVE HER! To me, her reviews are genuine and honest, and she has a great personality..Beauy Itch is definitely one of my favourite blogs!

Barbie Inspired Look-FOTD

Hello my lovely readers..

Ever since i was a child, Barbie has always been my idol... But my mom won't let me have more than 2 Barbies..My parents were still young when they had me and my sister, Farah (we are 1 year apart) and we were not financially stable yet at that point of time because both of them had just started working. We had enough to eat, buy clothes and all, but it's just that my mom didn't want us to pamper us on toys and spend on unnecessary things like dolls..
They got married at the age of 19 when they were in their 1st year, studying Engineering at Southern Illinois University. The reason why they got married at a young age was because my late grandma was so worried that her beloved daughter was studying abroad and there's nobody there to look after her.

Ok enough about my family history..hihi....

And here's for my Barbie obsession..

OOoopss..I forgot to put on pink blusher and lipstick

Ok i'm trying to look Kawaii  like those teenagers who love to pose like this O-o

Hahahaha! another typical Asian trying to look cute pose. but failed

Flying kisses to my lovely supporters.. LOVE
Oh Wow the falsies look too much on me..and i didn't glue them nicely because i wanted remove them to wear this look out..
Some bronze and brown in the crease to tone down the pink.

Do you want a tutorial on this look. If so, please inform me ok. I'm in a rush today. Going for a vacation with my girlfriends, sister Farah and Hubby tomorrow for our weekend getaway...

P/S : My lovely sister just made a post on a Classy, Sophisticated Red Lip Look.. Feel free to click the link given to view..

Have a great weekend!

FOTD-Wearable Light Smokey Look

I wanted a wearable smokey look that i can wear without looking too 'out there'..

I always think the left side of my face looks better than my right side..hihi

I had to keep blending the crease so the line won't look too harsh..This one needs a bot more blending i think

Natural lighting

Natural lighting

What i used:
Face :
  • MAC Studio Fix Foundation NC30 (not in picture)
  • MAC Studio Finish Concealer NC35 - to cover blemishes and redness
  • Revlon Beyond Natural Concealer - Salmon colour concealer to cover dark circles
  • Mac Studio Fix Powder - just brush it on lightly to reduce shine around nose, chin and forehead
  • Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder #2 - to set the concealer and brighten up undereye area
  • Etude House Bronzer - to contour cheek bone
  • Tone Mode Cream Blusher by Tears in PK6 - Peachy tint on the apples of my cheeks

  • I used the colours from this palette.Too complicated to explain..LOL.. Basically i used 1+2+3 on the lash line and crease. Then i combined 4+5+6 together and kinda blend the crease and lash line. Then i used 7 on the inner part and under my browbone. I used black eyeshadow as my eyeliner.
  • MAC Vanilla Pigment - on tear duct and inner half of eyelid
  • Revlon ColorStay Crayon liner - line my waterline
  • Maybelline Volume Express Mascara

  • Dior Rouge Lipstick #297 Precious Beige
  • Dior Addict Ultra Gloss Reflect #557

Butterfly necklace from my dearest cousin, u Lulu!

Hope you guys like it..Take care darlings..

Angelina Jolie Inspired Makeup- FOTD

Today was so boring. So here's my failed attempt to look like Angelina Jolie. Obviously i don't have her facial structure, lips, nose and everything. I call this look an Inspired look because of this obvious reason.

This is kinda her signature makeup. Natural eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, butterfly lashes and full lips. My lips are so thin i couldn't do any sexy pose with my face at all. LOL..

Angelina Jolie's picture that i was referring while doing this makeup

This is my version of Angelina Jolie makeup..

My not-so-sexy-pouting-but-no-lips-at-all face

This is my first attempt.. ok laaa kot..

I applied 2 coats of mascara. No false lashes coz im lazy..

When i smile, my chubby cheeks and high cheekbones make me sooo not Angelina Jolie..hahaha

Light, natural and dewy makeup for college- My new face routine and drugstore dupes!

Hi everyone!

It's Friday and i can't wait to see my hubby later tonight. We are going back to my hometown (Kedah) tomorrow morning to visit my dad and granny. Oh i miss them so much!

Today i just wanna share with you my new face routine, which is really simple and takes only about 5 minutes. This is a requested look by some of my followers from younger age group (they are like my own sisters- Fathin, Nita, Miera, Bella, Naz and some of their friends who have been my loyal readers. TQ darlings!)

I know some of the products cost a bit more than other drugstore brands and i personally think that students don't have to spend all of their money for high-end makeups. You can use other drugstore products that are actually great for dupes too!

At 8 a.m
And 8 hours later....

8 hours later - 5pm (no touch-ups except for lipgloss)
After 8 hours, my makeup is still there although my face is shinier compared to the 1st photo. I tend to get oilier around my T-zone, which is quite common and it happens to other people too.

I also listed some drugstore dupes for every makeup i use. You can go and try some of these dupes, and see which one suits you BEST! :)

Sweet Valentine's Inspired Look - Love Is All Around...

Hello everyone!

Even though i don't celebrate Valentine's Day, i am inspired to do a sweet look suitable for occasions like weddings, dates, or a simple candlelight dinner.

Earlier tonight, i attended my friend's sister's wedding and i took the chance to wear this look.

I used some bronzer to contour my cheekbones and a bit on the jaw line. I'm not a fan of excessive shading..

The palette that is going to be featured this time is....

7 minute makeup-Light and Natural Makeup, so simple and easy!

Hello everyone!

There are days when i don't feel like wearing foundations. In fact it's been a month since i last used any foundations. I just wanna go out with a really simple, sheer coverage, but sometimes my skin won't let me (due to hormones, scars, dark circles and breakouts). I need that extra coverage, but i like to do it without looking too made up or cakey.

I put the title 7 minute makeup because there are 7 steps and products you'll use. So let's assume that every step requires 1 minute.. it doesn't mean you have to brush on your blusher for the whole 1 minute ya...don't end up looking like a clown. :p

Here's how i do it..

I usually wear this look to college, hospitals, when i do my groceries, or when i travel. It's so easy and simple! and I'm a fan of healthy glow!
You don't have to use the EXACT same things i use. You can always use what you have and apply the basic principles behind simple makeup look.

The ingredients i use are:
