I'd like to share some of my favourite products that i discovered and tried these past few months.

Makeup Forever Concealer Palette

The colours are quite pigmented and the coverage is buildable. I think blending with fingers will help to melt the concealer's texture down a bit and it will blend beautifully. I use this palette on clients with very bad dark circles, acne scarring and uneven skin tones.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder

My favourite bronzing powder ever hands down. I love the sweet smell that it has and the packaging is sooo cute! It looks like a real chocolate! My sister is coming back from the UK so she might have bought some of these to bring back to Malaysia. Let's hope she does.

Inglot blusher #58

The colour payoff is really great! i only need a tiny bit for the colour to show on my cheeks. I really love the finish. Semi matte and luminous, not shimmery or glittery. Just make sure you are light-handed with this one. It gives u that healthy glowy look on your cheeks.

Laura Mercier Lipgloss in Bonbon

My favourite lipgloss of all time. It smells like caramel, tastes good as well and most importantly it is non-sticky. I hate sticky lipglosses. I really love that it is coral+a bit pinkish in colour.


I used this lipgloss on her. So many people commented and asked about her lip colour.

Kiehl's Rare Earth Pore Minimizing Lotion with Amazonian White Clay

I've tried this product for a good 5-6 months on my clients who tend to have oily skin, basically concentrating on the T-zone. I want their makeup to stay longer. It really helps to mattify oily skin and the Amazonian White Clay that they use in this product helps to absorb excess oil.

Urban Decay All Nighter Spray

I love this spray. It really helps to hold your makeup longer. It is a must-have in my makeup kit.

Mario Bedescu Drying Lotion

Zip zap the zitsss.. That's what it does. I always apply this lotion whenever i found red painful bumps trying their best to emerge and to get to the surface of my skin. It works on me.
It has a layer of clear yellowish fluid on top and pink sediment on the bottom. I use baby cotton buds to get to the bottom of the bottle and get the pink sediment and then i carefully pace it on my zits overnight.

Urban Decay Primer Potion

Need i say more about this product? All makeup gurus out there have probably done thousands of reviews on this one. It's a must-have in my makeup kit. I love this primer because it brings out the true colour of my eyeshadow and that my eyeshadow stays put all day. It really matters to me.

And now...revealing my favourite foundation....

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

This foundation costs about RM 153. I hate the price though as i am still a student and i don't need another foundation coz i already have like 10 of them.. But this one really intrigued me.. I heard so many good reviews about this particular foundation and i was thrilled to find a Laura Mercier counter at the Empire Gallery.

I tried it on my hand, liked it. Tried it on my face, LOVED IT! I love the texture and the finish that it gives.. The consistency is creamy and i only need about a pea size to cover my whole face..

It feels really light on my skin, like i'm wearing no foundation at all. That's what i like about this foundation. And after spreading it with my fingers ( i don't use a brush with this i figured that fingers work well with this one), i can see that almost all of my acne scars have disappeared. It also hides any discoloration on my face. I noticed that i don't need as much concealer as i needed before.. We are talking about a FULL and HIGH coverage product..

The coverage is BUILDABLE.If u want a medium coverage, use less. When it sets, its gives a nice luminous finish, somewhat silky and almost matte but there's still some luminosity to it.. and my skin still feels and looks like my real skin! I love it!

A little really goes a long way!

The only downside about this foundation to me is that it doesn't last for more than 8-10 hours like my MAC studio fix foundation does, most probably because i live in a hot and humid country, and maybe because the texture is creamy, it doesn't really "stick" that well. I won't recommend it to women with very oily skin+live in humid weather or to those who need that FULL coverage all day long..

I 1st saw this product in one of Juicystar07 or Blair's youtube videos. She said she has oily skin but this foundation works great for her. Maybe because the weather there where she lives is not as humid as mine, and also maybe because she uses the Scandinavian No More Shine Spray that really helps to fix her makeup and keep her looking matte all day..Here's her video..

I still love this foundation nevertheless.. Sometimes i set it with Loose Powder, sometimes with my Laura Mercier Mineral Powder, sometimes with my Chanel Mat Lumiere Powder.. I'm in the phase of trying to figure out how to set this foundation to make it lasts longer.. I think the Chanel Mat Lumiere and Laura Mercier Mineral Powder work great!

Talking about the lasting power, i don't usually wear my makeup more than 8 hours except on special occasions. So i don't think i have any problem with this foundation. If u are someone who works in the office with aircond all the time, this foundation might work for u.

Light, natural and dewy makeup for college- My new face routine and drugstore dupes!

Hi everyone!

It's Friday and i can't wait to see my hubby later tonight. We are going back to my hometown (Kedah) tomorrow morning to visit my dad and granny. Oh i miss them so much!

Today i just wanna share with you my new face routine, which is really simple and takes only about 5 minutes. This is a requested look by some of my followers from younger age group (they are like my own sisters- Fathin, Nita, Miera, Bella, Naz and some of their friends who have been my loyal readers. TQ darlings!)

I know some of the products cost a bit more than other drugstore brands and i personally think that students don't have to spend all of their money for high-end makeups. You can use other drugstore products that are actually great for dupes too!

8 hours later - 5pm (no touch-ups except for lipgloss)

 After 8 hours, my makeup is still there although my face is shinier compared to the 1st photo. I tend to get oilier around my T-zone, which is quite common and it happens to other people too.

I also listed some drugstore dupes for every makeup i use. You can go and try some of these dupes, and see which one suits you BEST! :)

Sweet Valentine's Inspired Look - Love Is All Around...

Hello everyone!

Even though i don't celebrate Valentine's Day, i am inspired to do a sweet look suitable for occasions like weddings, dates, or a simple candlelight dinner.

Earlier tonight, i attended my friend's sister's wedding and i took the chance to wear this look.

I used some bronzer to contour my cheekbones and a bit on the jaw line. I'm not a fan of excessive shading..

7 minute makeup-Light and Natural Makeup, so simple and easy!

There are days when i don't feel like wearing foundations. In fact it's been a month since i last used any foundations. I just wanna go out with a really simple, sheer coverage, but sometimes my skin won't let me (due to hormones, scars, dark circles and breakouts). I need that extra coverage, but i like to do it without looking too made up or cakey.

I put the title 7 minute makeup because there are 7 steps and products you'll use. So let's assume that every step requires 1 minute.. it doesn't mean you have to brush on your blusher for the whole 1 minute ya...don't end up looking like a clown. :p

Here's how i do it..

I usually wear this look to college, hospitals, when i do my groceries, or when i travel. It's so easy and simple! and I'm a fan of healthy glow!

 You don't have to use the EXACT same things i use. You can always use what you have and apply the basic principles behind simple makeup look.

The ingredients i use are:

Me and hubby went to Pavillion, Lot10, and Fahrenheit88 to shop for some winter clothing. We are gonna be leaving for Korea in 2 weeks time for our honeymoon. It's gonna be our 1st time in Korea, and we are really looking forward to it.

At the Pavillion, i was "discreetly" looking for Laura Mercier counter because i heard so much about it. "Discretely" because i didn't want hubby to know, at first..But i know that he understands my passion. That's why i love him from the very beginning. When i told him i really really really wanted to get "something" from Laura Mercier, he was totally OK with it and even accompanied me throughout the whole buy(which was sweet) and gave me his opinions as well! You are so wonderful and I love you so much!

I am sure all of you makeup junkies would have to agree that our "hunt" for the best foundation, blusher, lipstick, face primer, eyeliner, etc will never end! Yes the urge will never subside and can never be tamed.. The satisfaction is beyond words once you get your hands on the most perfect product for you..

 So let's see what i got...

1) Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

My friend Tia swears by this product! Its for setting the concealer, especially under the eyes. It makes your eyes look brighter and hides the dark@bluish discoloration under the eyes (dark circles). I hope this is the one that Korean artists use because their undereyes look somewhat shimmery and fresh, i have been searching for it like forever! You know their skin are so flawless and they have that healthy glow! arghhhhh...i want that too!

It has really fine shimmers in it and i hope it will brighten up my dull face. Im looking forward to using this powder..

2) Laura Mercier Mineral Cheek Powder in Pink Spark

This is a very nice pink blusher. Can't wait to use this one too!

I love that it has a sifter and also a separator, you can twist to open and close it so that the product won't be all over the top of the sifter.

3) Laura Mercier Mineral Powder SPF15 in Real Sand

 I'm not sure whether this the right shade for me. I have to try it on my naked face tomorrow. I'm somewhere between NC25-30 for MAC. NC30 makes me look a bit tan, but NC25 is too light for me. It's a bit confusing. Maybe i will have to mix those two..

I heard a lot about this one too. I believe that this product will give you a dewy and creamy finish, where your face looks flawless but you look like you are not wearing that much makeup on. I have high hopes on this one. I was told that the minerals in this powder can help to improve your skin too..
