Light, natural and dewy makeup for college- My new face routine and drugstore dupes!

Hi everyone!

It's Friday and i can't wait to see my hubby later tonight. We are going back to my hometown (Kedah) tomorrow morning to visit my dad and granny. Oh i miss them so much!

Today i just wanna share with you my new face routine, which is really simple and takes only about 5 minutes. This is a requested look by some of my followers from younger age group (they are like my own sisters- Fathin, Nita, Miera, Bella, Naz and some of their friends who have been my loyal readers. TQ darlings!)

I know some of the products cost a bit more than other drugstore brands and i personally think that students don't have to spend all of their money for high-end makeups. You can use other drugstore products that are actually great for dupes too!

At 8 a.m
And 8 hours later....

8 hours later - 5pm (no touch-ups except for lipgloss)
After 8 hours, my makeup is still there although my face is shinier compared to the 1st photo. I tend to get oilier around my T-zone, which is quite common and it happens to other people too.

I also listed some drugstore dupes for every makeup i use. You can go and try some of these dupes, and see which one suits you BEST! :)

How To Clean Your Makeup Brushes Tutorial and FOTD

Hello everyone!

How many makeup brushes do u have?? And how often do u clean them?

I spot clean my brushes 3x a week (which is not that often), and deep clean them once a week. No that's not true. I don't have that much time. I try to thoroughly deep clean all my brushes once in every 2weeks.

But one thing for sure, i will clean them before i do any makeup service on any of my customers because if i were a customer, i wouldn't want to share or transmit all the bacterias from and to other customers. Personal hygiene is really important to me. It's like the "OCD"ness in me.. Like i will never eat anything from the fridge that are not covered@properly sealed because i feel like bacterias, fungus or spores are flying freely inside the fridge  ToT. My hubby knows that. And i don't like to share my drinking water bottle (which i refill everyday and it is BPA free) or keep mineral water bottles for more than 2 days. You know when people drink your water and their mouths are touching the opening and they got their saliva all over it, then keep it for 2 days and there will be this smell that freaks me out and i hate it.

Ok back to our brushes. These are the economical ways to clean your brushes.

1) Spot cleaning

Try to spot clean your brushes everyday (or every 2 days if you are like me) to prevent makeup and bacteria buildups. The more makeup buildup you have on your brush, the more bacteria it holds. And in that case, your brushes are the ones to blame if you keep on developing acne, eye infection, etc. Remember, the more you take a good care of your brushes, the longer they'll last.

Examples of brush cleansers:
MAC brush cleanser from http://www.divavillage.com
Japonesque Professional Brush Cleaner from http://www.makeupcreations.com/

What i use is:

Hi everyone!

Today's tutorial is going to be on dewy daytime look and the products i used for this makeup tutorial are very affordable and easy to find here in Malaysia. This tutorial is made specially for those who do not have loads of makeup, and want to start learning doing basic makeup. You can always skip the eyeshadow step if you don't have time to do it. Remember, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!

You can totally wear this look to work, college, malls, or even on a date. This look is very natural without using too many colours on the eyes, simple to achieve without much hassle but yet very captivating and fresh...
